The Grade 4 – 7 classes are located on our Primary Campus on Dunkeld Road. They have access to the IT Centre, Science Lab, Technology Workroom and Library. There are two more sets of tablets for the children on this campus to use for technology or assisting with learning in other subjects.
Our school offers the CAPS curriculum as required by the WCED, but also offers conversational isi-Xhosa, specialist Music and Art, as well as Ethical Studies & Thinking Skills. These additions add a richness to the experiences of our learners and prepare them in different ways for their future in school and beyond.
We have a particular focus on Mathematics in Grades 4 to 7 called FLEX which allows us to extend our talented Mathematicians once a week as well as prepare them for Olympiads and competitions.
It is crucial that parents can trust the standards of a school before their children exit to go to secondary school. To this end, CBPS surveys ex-learners after their first 6 months of High School to determine how well they were prepared. The results are monitored by the SGB and offer genuine insight into the quality of our learning programme.
