Learning support is available for those learners in the Foundation Phase who have been identified by a teacher as needing a more targeted, ‘hands-on’ approach to strengthen certain skills. Phonics and spelling skills, reading and comprehension, language development and counting and number fluency are the primary focus during these lessons, which may be done individually or in a group.
A School Based Support Team (SBST) meets regularly so that strategies and interventions leading to the best possible assistance can be provided to those who need it. Together with class teachers and parents, the progress and support of these learners is monitored.
Learning Support includes Speech Therapy and Occupational Therapy which are offered by private service providers on the school premises during, or after the school day.
At the Primary Campus support for Grade 4 to 7 focuses on Mathematics and English.
